In this incredibly part-time OT role, youll work with a Kindergarten student who is nonverbal, uses an AAC device, is on the spectrum, and resides in a self-contained classroom. With just a 45-minute commitment per week, youll have total flexibility to schedule sessions any time between 9:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.empowering you to balance your work and personal adventures effortlessly.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) Previous school-based OT experience preferred Experience with students on the autism spectrum and developmental delays Familiarity with AAC devices supported Understanding of self-contained classroom dynamics
Role & Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted OT services to a nonverbal Kindergarten student Flexibly schedule one 45-minute session each week during school hours Collaborate with teaching and support staff to create a safe, supportive environment Utilize AAC and other strategies tailored to developmental needs Carefully document progress and adjust interventions as needed
