Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year! Make a difference every day in the lives of elementary students across two welcoming school locations in the Kenosha, WI area. With a manageable caseload typically ranging from 35-45 students, you'll have the chance to create meaningful interventions that support developmental growth, academic success, and students' overall well-being. Your skills in school-based occupational therapy will be valued as you collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to help students reach their fullest potential. This position is 35 hours per week with a focus on in-person, hands-on engagement—no virtual-only services required.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
Active Wisconsin Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain by the start date) Previous experience working as an OT in educational or pediatric settings, especially with elementary-age students Strong evaluation, documentation, and IEP development skills Ability to travel between two nearby school locations as needed Effective communication skills for working with students, staff, and families Collaborative spirit and flexibility
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess students' functional abilities and develop individualized intervention plans Deliver direct and consultative OT services in classroom and small group settings Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student goals Complete thorough documentation in compliance with school and district policies Actively participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences Enjoy a consistent weekly schedule and the opportunity to influence young learners at a key time in their development.
