Job Description

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) -
PRN Orchard Post Acute Pay Range:
$40.00-$45.00 per hour, based on experience Orchard Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive interdisciplinary team while helping residents improve their independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist Follow individualized plans of care and established therapy goals Assist residents with activities of daily living, mobility, coordination, strength, and functional skills Teach residents how to safely use adaptive equipment and techniques Observe and document residents' progress, responses to treatment, and changes in condition Communicate resident updates and concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, safety, and treatment recommendations Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, and other interdisciplinary team members Follow all facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current California COTA license in good standing Current CPR/BLS certification Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Compassionate, dependable, and committed to resident-centered care Why Join Orchard Post Acute?
