Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego's campus includes the O'Toole Breast Care Center, a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center, outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal intensive care unit). This is a part-time position (40 hours/2 weeks) working varied days including weekends, holidays and on-call requirements at Scripps Mercy inpatient in Hillcrest. Join the rehabilitation team at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego as a Rehab Therapy Aide. Work with experienced therapists at this Level 1 Trauma Center, assisting a variety of patients with wound care and transporting. The ideal candidate values teamwork, communication, and attention to detail to provide exceptional patient care. As an aide, you will: assist in providing age-appropriate services for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including direct treatment, under appropriate licensed supervision, to individuals and groups, evaluation and selection of adaptive equipment participate in quality improvement programs, and documentation of services according to hospital and departmental standards. Required:

High school graduate or equivalent. BLS (American Heart Assoc.)

Preferred:

Previous experience working under the direct supervision of a physical/occupational therapist or assistant in an outpatient and/or inpatient acute care setting recommended.
