August 4, 2026 - May 26, 2027 School-Based COTA Opportunity in Tracy, California We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a school-based team serving students across multiple campuses in Tracy, CA . This full-time position offers the opportunity to support a manageable K-12 caseload while working alongside educators and therapy professionals to help students achieve success both in and out of the classroom. The ideal candidate is passionate about pediatric therapy, enjoys working in an educational setting, and is committed to helping students develop the functional skills needed for academic achievement and daily independence. Position Overview Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week School-year assignment: August 2026 through May 2027 Serving students in grades K-12 Manageable caseload District-provided supervision available for COTA services Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services under the direction of the supervising Occupational Therapist. Implement student treatment plans and support IEP goals. Assist students with fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, self-help, and functional skill development. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student progress. Maintain accurate therapy documentation and service records. Participate in team meetings and support educational programming as needed. Travel between assigned school sites throughout the workweek.
Qualifications Required:
Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to effectively manage services across multiple school locations
Preferred:
Previous school-based or pediatric experience Experience working with students receiving special education services Familiarity with IEP processes and educational therapy services Why Apply?
