Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic therapy team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in schools and clinic. Your expertise will help clients of all ages—pediatrics and individuals with neurodevelopmental or disabilities—achieve their therapy goals through personalized interventions. Duties Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence. Implement treatment plans designed by occupational therapists, ensuring therapy goals are met effectively and safely. Support pediatric occupational therapy programs focused on childhood developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder by engaging children in therapeutic activities tailored to their needs. Document care activities accurately, maintaining detailed care documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals—including speech-language pathologists—and caregivers to optimize client outcomes. Contribute to care plans by providing insights on client progress and responding to evolving treatment requirements. Experience Demonstrated experience in outpatient clinics or schools enhances your ability to adapt therapy approaches across various contexts. Proven background working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or disabilities is essential for delivering specialized pediatric occupational therapy. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and care documentation ensures precise communication and effective treatment delivery.
