Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic PT (Physical Therapy) Aid with Certification to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional patient care across various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers. Your enthusiasm and commitment to patient well-being will help facilitate effective therapy sessions, assist with patient transfers, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for all patients. Duties Assist physical therapists with patient intake, positioning, and transfer methods to ensure safe and efficient therapy sessions Support patients during exercises and rehabilitation activities, providing encouragement and ensuring proper technique Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, supporting, and moving patients with care and adherence to safety protocols Maintain patient confidentiality at all times while documenting treatment details accurately in medical records Prepare treatment areas, sterilize equipment, and ensure all therapy tools are ready for use in accordance with clinic standards Communicate effectively with patients to address concerns, explain procedures, and promote a positive therapeutic environment Support hospital or outpatient staff with patient care activities including mobility assistance and post-acute care support Requirements Valid certification as a PT Aid or equivalent qualification in physiotherapy support roles Proven experience practicing in a physical therapy or rehabilitation setting, preferably within hospitals or clinics Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively during patient transfers or equipment handling Experience working with diverse patient populations such as geriatrics, orthopedics, or post-surgical cases Familiarity with inpatient, outpatient, acute care, and sub-acute care environments is highly desirable CPR certification and understanding of hospital medicine protocols are required for safety compliance Excellent client communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care Join our team to help patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life!
