Full Job Description Qualifications Education:
Degree in Visual Disabilities, Secondary or Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human/Social Services, or related field. Master's Degree preferred
Experience:
list of 2 items Two years of experience in vision rehabilitation preferred Familiarity with blindness and/or broader disabilities issues is a plus list end
License/Certification:
Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (CVRT) Additional helpful certifications:
COMS, TSVI, CATIS, CLVT, DBS
Access Technology Endorsement Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
list of 4 items Proficiency with assistive technology and compensatory skills Possess a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Possess effective organizational and time management skills with attention to detail Ability to project a positive, compassionate image to clients, co-workers and the public list end
Physical Demands:
list of 4 items Independently navigate the work environment and the LCF service community Moderate ability to move and lift items, usually ranging up to 25 lbs. Prolonged standing upon occasion Prolonged sitting at work station list end
