• Description:
• Support rehabilitation services that help older adults maintain independence, mobility, and quality of life.
• The Therapy Aide provides administrative, operational, and participant support for the therapy department. Working under the direction of licensed therapists, this role assists with therapy-related activities, maintains treatment areas and equipment, and helps ensure a positive experience for participants and caregivers.
• Key Responsibilities
• + Support physical and occupational therapy staff with non-clinical activities and departmental operations.

+ Assist participants with established exercise programs, functional activities, hydrotherapy preparation, and superficial heat/cold treatments under therapist direction.

+ Help participants safely adjust equipment and get on and off therapy devices as needed.

+ Maintain treatment spaces by cleaning equipment, changing linens, stocking supplies, and ensuring therapy areas are organized and ready for use.

+ Monitor equipment and supply inventory, identify maintenance needs, and communicate ordering requirements to management.

+ Observe and report participant concerns, precautions, or changes in status to supervising therapists.

+ Collaborate with participants, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support excellent customer service and satisfaction.

+ Perform general clerical and administrative duties, including filing, copying, distributing documents, and supporting departmental workflows.

+ Participate in required training and maintain compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Qualifications
• + High School Diploma or equivalent required.

+ One year of experience working with frail, elderly, or aging populations preferred; training provided for candidates with less experience.

+ Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

+ Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems.

+ Ability to build positive relationships with participants, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.

+ Must meet all applicable employment, health, and screening requirements.
