Job Description
State of Idaho Opportunity Idaho Division of Veterans Services - Caring for America's Heroes

Responsibilities:
Therapy:
- Implements physical/occupational plans of care to include ambulation, range of motion and exercise classes
- Assists residents in the safe practice of therapy plan activities and encourages residents to participate in therapy activities
- Prepares equipment and insures availability of supplies for use in therapy
- Monitors and records residents' participation, responses, and progress
- Instructs residents and families in simple treatment procedures Resident care:
- Takes and records vital signs
- Provides personal hygiene care to geriatric residents
- Lifts, positions, transports, and escorts residents
- Assists with ambulation and other body movements
- Feeds residents who require assistance
- Reports and documents observations made during direct resident care - Will provide assistance with transporting residents to and from medical appointments as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Some knowledge of:- Body mechanics
Experience:
- Monitoring and recording progress of residents' therapy
- Taking and recording residents' vital signs
- Observing and recording changes in residents' behaviors and symptoms
Certification:
- Prior to hire applicants are required to have completed competency testing and be eligible for placement on the Board of Nursing state registry as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION SPECIALTY
- Must have a valid regular driver's license
