As a dedicated healthcare provider with a 25-bed critical access facility, HMHD is committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care utilizing advanced technology and modern facilities. The organization strives to support the community with accessible, high-quality medical services close to home. Hamilton Memorial Hospital District is seeking a full-time Rehab Aide to join our Rehabilitation Department. This position provides important administrative, operational, and non-clinical patient support to help keep our rehabilitation services running smoothly.
What You'll Do:
Welcome and register patients arriving for PT, OT, SLP, and Cardiac Rehabilitation evaluations Schedule future patient appointments and communicate scheduling changes and arrivals to rehabilitation staff Transport patients to the Rehabilitation Department, including two-person transport when appropriately trained and directed Answer the Rehabilitation Department phone and assist with patient questions Assist with physician orders, scanning, patient paperwork, and maintaining accurate department records Prepare therapy areas and assist rehabilitation staff with non-clinical patient support activities Clean and disinfect treatment tables, equipment, and commonly touched surfaces Monitor and restock department supplies Assist with setup and cleanup for group therapy activities Maintain a safe, clean, and organized rehabilitation environment Follow HIPAA, infection-prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Illinois High school diploma or equivalent Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain CPR certification Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic health record and scheduling systems Previous healthcare, rehabilitation, patient transport, or medical office experience preferred Join our team as a Rehabilitation Aide to make a meaningful difference in patients' recovery journeys by providing compassionate support and ensuring safe, effective therapy experiences.
Pay:
$15.61 - $22.48 per hour
