Position Purpose This position is responsible for carrying out Beyond Therapy exercise programs and outpatient therapy aide tasks under the supervision of a licensed therapist. Duties include but are not limited to supervision and assistance with exercise. Requirements Qualifications Diploma from high school or GED equivalent. Successful completion of on-the-job therapy aide training and competency program. Previous experience in a healthcare environment is preferred. Must be CPR certified or eligible for CPR certification. Essential Job Functions Safely supervises and directs clients as directed by the Physical Therapist. Apprises self of any special client precautions or needs before working with each client. Requests additional help if needed. Uses proper techniques when assisting each client on/off exercise equipment. Assists therapists with patient care tasks. Assists therapists as directed in transferring patients from one surface to another. Assists therapists as directed in evaluation procedures. Assists therapists as directed in treatments. Gathers equipment for the therapists. Assists therapists in the aquatic area with patient transfers, positioning, wound care, and wound dressing.
