Restorative Aide Location:

Henderson, KY 42420 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Restorative Aide to join our healthcare team in Henderson, KY. The Restorative Aide will assist residents in maintaining and improving their physical abilities through therapeutic exercises and activities under the supervision of licensed therapists. This role is vital in promoting residents' independence, mobility, and overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with restorative exercises and activities as directed by physical, occupational, or speech therapists. Encourage and motivate residents to participate in therapy programs to improve strength, balance, and mobility. Monitor and report residents' progress and any changes in condition to the therapy team. Ensure safety and proper use of equipment during restorative activities. Maintain accurate documentation of restorative care provided. Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to coordinate care plans. Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents during therapy sessions. Assist with transfers, ambulation, and positioning as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a restorative or rehabilitation setting preferred. Basic knowledge of restorative therapy techniques and safety procedures. Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of licensed therapists. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Ability to lift and assist residents as required. CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Work Environment This position involves working in a healthcare facility with elderly or disabled residents. The role requires physical activity including standing, walking, and assisting residents with mobility.
