1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a day shift Long Term Care position in Lowell, MA, requiring at least 1 year of LTC or rehab experience. Details Long term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unit 13-week assignment on day shift, 8-hour shifts 35 guaranteed weekly hours No weekend or on-call requirements Requirements Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required LTC or rehab setting experience required COTA license required if applicable One professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Perform ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, and modalities as part of the rehabilitation plan Assess patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist Document treatment and progress in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings May supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts and code of conduct No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO)
