Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist/Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric rehabilitation services, including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning for diverse client populations. Your expertise will help clients achieve their recovery goals, improve their mental health, and enhance their overall well-being. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans. Provide evidence-based psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy tailored to client needs. Deliver individual, group, child & youth therapy, and family counseling sessions to promote recovery and resilience across diverse age groups. Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies. Facilitate case management activities, including intake procedures, treatment planning, progress documentation in EMR/EHR systems, and adherence to clinical documentation standards. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions while maintaining HIPAA compliance and clinical ethical guidelines. Engage in research activities related to behavioral health practices and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. Apply applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques for clients with autism spectrum disorders and utilize social work principles in patient care. Conduct patient assessments focusing on mental health conditions such as PTSD, grief, chronic pain, or addiction counseling needs. Experience Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient settings within behavioral health or mental health clinics. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, or other evidence-based practices. Hands-on experience with crisis intervention, trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health diagnoses and treatment planning using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10). Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable. Knowledge of clinical documentation standards compliant with HIPAA regulations and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Experience providing telehealth services utilizing secure platforms while maintaining patient confidentiality and clinical ethical guidelines. Background in research or clinical research projects related to behavioral health or mental health interventions is a plus.
