Education Qualifications:
- + Previous health care related experience or education. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Aide to join our acute care hospital team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our rehabilitation therapists and assisting patients during their recovery process.
Key Responsibilities:
- + Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions + Assist therapists in transporting and positioning patients for treatments + Clean and maintain treatment areas and equipment before and after use + Perform routine, non-clinical patient care tasks under therapist supervision + Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure stock areas are clean and organized + Greet patients and answer basic questions about treatments + Collaborate with nursing staff to transport patients to and from therapy gyms + Assist in resettling patients back into their rooms after therapy sessions + Participate in weekend rotation (one weekend every four weeks) + Maintain equipment cleaning schedules + Support Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) during Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) procedures + Provide an extra set of hands for Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Physical Therapists (PTs) during therapy sessions + Other duties as assigned •Schedule•This is a full time position, 40 hours per week.
