Assisted Living Functional Aide Days 7a-7p Marymount Manor is seeking a caring and compassionate Functional Aide to assist our residents in our Assisted Living facility, along with a desire to assist in a healthcare setting
Functional Aide Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of Functional Assistant is to assist Marymount Manor's 400 Hall/Terrace Residents with their daily needs-ensuring that they maintain the highest quality of life, maximum function level and receive basic care, in a safe, clean environment. Functional Assistant Duties and Responsibilities Answering patient requests for assistance. Answer telephone, greet and direct visitors and family members. Providing standby support for specific residents with daily activities such as bathing and showering per assignment. Changing bed linens, sheets and blankets per schedule. Launder linens using industrial washer and dryer. Launder personal clothing per schedule, using industrial washer and dryer, fold, hang, redistribute this laundry. Perform bimonthly "Pathway to Safety" evaluations for resident as assigned. Deliver food and drinks to the resident's room on each floor when they eat in their room. Deliver food and drinks to the residents at their table when they eat in the dining room. Measure and record monthly weight for each resident. Facilitate scheduled group and individual activities per activity calendar of events. Observe residents behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms and report to C.M.T or Nurse on duty. Observe residents personal space and belongings for safety hazards and policy violations, report as needed. Operate vacuum cleaner to clean carpets in assigned areas, in resident rooms and hallways on 2nd and 3rd floors. Safely handle chemicals to clean and sanitize toilets, sinks and bathtubs in restrooms located in resident rooms and common areas. Safely handle chemicals to clean and sanitize kitchen sinks and countertops in resident rooms. Remove trash from resident rooms and common areas as assigned, replacing trash bags. Then, appropriately transport trash to the dumpster. During the night shift, the functional aide will perform visual rounds every two hours on those assigned residents to ensure safety.
