1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Long Term Care position in Missouri, requiring 1 year of OTA experience in an LTC or rehab setting. Details Long Term Care (LTC) facility in the Occupational Therapy department Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday Start time flexible between before 6AM and no later than 10AM, as agreed with the Director of Rehab No weekend requirements No on-call requirements Compact license accepted Requirements Active COTA license required (license required if applicable) Minimum of 1 year of OTA experience required LTC or rehab setting experience required 1 professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Provide rehabilitative treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under supervision of an Occupational Therapist Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, and modalities as part of rehabilitation plans Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising OT to adjust treatment plans Document treatment minutes and clinical information in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings Assist supervising OT in obtaining necessary DME or supplies May supervise and support students under OT guidance Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts and codes of conduct Maximum of 7 days RTO may be requested
