JOB SUMMARY

The Therapy Aide position assists the Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists to organize and carry out appropriate therapy programs for individual clients in accordance with current federal, state and facility standards, guidelines, and regulations. This position contributes to the overall functions and smooth performance of day to day operations in the therapy areas as the aid supports the therapy and education plans for individuals to achieve maximum growth and achievement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or years' experience required:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:

Minimum one-year experience and/or knowledge of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services preferred. Minimum one-year experience with individuals with disabilities preferred. Minimum one-year experience with therapy equipment, such as but not limited to, wheelchairs, standers, communication devices, etc. preferred. Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable): This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
