Position Summary:
The Rehab Aide , plays a critical role in supporting physical and occupational therapists by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment for patient visits. This role is ideal for individuals who have an interest in pre-therapy or growing within the healthcare industry, working in a fast-paced clinical setting. Variable Schedule between 7:00am•6:30pm Position requirements
Education :
High School diploma or equivalent•required.
Licensure :
N/A Certification :
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of hire.
Experience :
Any customer service or patient support experience preferred. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Strong interpersonal skills. Self-directed and motivated. Must be able to work from detailed verbal or written instructions and use best judgment for routine situations. Ability to problem-solve through a well-defined approach. Ability to accomplish multiple tasks and prioritize activities. Strong team orientation. Essential Job Functions Cleans all equipment, mats and other items involved in patient care after each patient use according to approved infection control guidelines. Restocks treatment rooms/supply closets in a timely manner. Assists with scheduling patients and answering phones when appropriate. Assists with patient visit set-up under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. Communicates patient needs effectively and establishes a professional relationship with healthcare team. Complies with safety activities, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and The Joint Commission. Monitors inventory and reorders in a timely manner. Attends and participates in department meetings, mandatory educational programs and performance improvement activities as directed.
Physical requirements:
This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
