Job Description
Job Details The Rehabilitation Aide helps prepare patients and the environment for treatments and assists therapists in performing treatment under therapist's supervision, in groups or individual setting. The rehabilitation aide works in acute care, acute rehab, skilled facility, outpatient settings as appropriate. The current role is for 4 10 hour days Mon-Thurs as a split between inpatient in the am and outpatient in the pm at the WT campus. Job Description Summary The Rehabilitation Aide helps prepare patients and the environment for treatments and assists therapists in performing treatment under therapist's supervision, in groups or individual setting. The rehabilitation aide works in acute care, acute rehab, skilled facility, outpatient settings as appropriate. Job Duties Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.(Do not delete, move or over-write this statement) Performs patient care under direct supervision of a licensed therapy professional. Provides assistance according to departmental policies and procedures and applicable state practice guidelines. Transports patients to treatment area with timely arrival for therapy appointment. Assures that equipment and treatment areas remain clean, properly stored and ready for use according to hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Performs clerical duties as directed by staff and supervisors in a timely manner to insure smooth daily operations of the department. Supervises exercise programs, leads group exercises, documents appropriately (attendance, fees paid), and demonstrates knowledge of the specific needs relative to the safety of the participant. Demonstrates familiarity with basic computer skills such as scheduling, transporter lists, billing and ability to set up new patient/administer survey. Communicates impressions and objective information in a clear and timely manner to therapists, supervisors, and others as directed to insure efficient coordination and optimal outcomes. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Less than 1 year 0-2 years of experience BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association Additional Qualifications Physical Demands Lift and carry 40-50 lbs.
