1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a long-term care facility, requiring at least 1 year of OTA experience and LTC or rehab setting experience. Details Long-term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy department 13-week assignment Day shift, 8-hour shifts No weekend requirements No on-call requirements Requirements Active COTA license required (license required if applicable) State licensure in Oklahoma required Minimum of 1 year of OTA experience required LTC or rehabilitation setting experience required 1 professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Provide rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions for patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatment plans Document all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation system Accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings Participate in facility and company required trainings and in-services Assist supervising Occupational Therapist in obtaining necessary DME or supplies May supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics standards
