The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to pediatrics clients in our clinic. This role is essential in helping patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life through personalized care plans and therapeutic interventions. Duties Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist. Provide direct patient care, including exercises, activities of daily living (ADLs), and mobility training. Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, progress notes, and treatment outcomes. Skills Knowledge of pediatrics therapy practices. Proficiency in assisting with various therapeutic techniques and modalities. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy. Experience with Therapeutic Listening Program, Wilbarger Brushing Technique, Brain Gym, HANDLE, Bal-A-Vis-X, reflex integration exercises, and other sensory-based therapeutic modalities is a plus. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and team members. Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and patient records efficiently.
