1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a school-based position serving pediatric and adolescent students, requiring
BLS, NBCOT
certification, and 1 year of experience. Details School-based setting within a school district serving grades K-12 Pediatric and adolescent patient population Travel required to 3 different buildings within the district (max 3-5 miles apart) Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM 36-40 hours per week 13-week assignment running mid-November to mid-February Requirements Current BLS certification required NBCOT certification required License required if applicable Minimum of 1 year of experience required Preferred fieldwork experience in a school or pediatric setting Must complete PA fingerprinting and ChildLine clearance within 48 hours of signing contract One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration Must complete lab work within 72 hours of signing contract Additional Information Opportunity for cross-over and mentoring with 2 current OTs within the district First-time travelers will be considered Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility Previous permanent or per diem employment at this healthcare system must be disclosed and requires an 18-month gap before returning as a traveler
