BlueBird Therapy & Wellness is looking for an OT or COTA to join our growing team and help people live more safely, independently, and comfortably in their own homes. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys home-based OT, problem solving, accessibility, aging in place, and having the freedom to manage their own schedule. You won't be stuck in a clinic all day—and you won't have someone looking over your shoulder either. You'll have the autonomy to organize your visits around your life while still having a supportive team to collaborate with when you need it. What you'll be doing Conduct home safety and accessibility assessments Evaluate clients' ability to safely perform daily activities in their home Identify barriers to independence and recommend practical solutions Make recommendations for home modifications, adaptive equipment, and accessibility improvements Help older adults and people with disabilities remain safely in their homes Complete documentation and home modification recommendations Communicate with clients, caregivers, contractors, and other members of the care team Collaborate with our OT/PT team when more complex clinical questions arise Why this role is different Make your own schedule You have significant flexibility in when you complete your visits. Looking for a side gig? Perfect. Want to build a larger caseload? That's an option too. Get out of the clinic Every home is different, every client is different, and every problem requires a little creativity. Use your clinical brain differently This isn't just about exercises and treatment sessions. You'll be looking at the entire environment and asking, "What would make this person's life easier and safer?" Independent, but never alone We want clinicians who can work independently and confidently—but who also know when to ask questions, communicate, and collaborate. You'll have a team behind you. Do meaningful work A well-placed grab bar, a better bathroom setup, improved accessibility, or a simple adaptive solution can make a huge difference in someone's ability to stay in their home. We're looking for someone who is: An OT or COTA licensed in Colorado Comfortable working independently in clients' homes A strong communicator who can build rapport quickly Organized and dependable A creative problem solver Comfortable making clinical recommendations Able to collaborate with a team while still taking ownership of their work Interested in aging in place, home accessibility, disability, adaptive equipment, or home modifications Experience with home health, geriatrics, neurorehabilitation, DME, accessibility, or home modifications is a plus—but not required. We can help the right clinician learn the home modification side of the role. Compensation Paid per visit. Flexible part-time caseload with the ability to build your schedule around your availability.
