Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location:
Antioch, TN 37013 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Antioch, TN. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. Key Responsibilities Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic activities and exercises. Monitor and document patient progress and report observations to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and home exercise programs. Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards related to occupational therapy practice. Qualifications Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Tennessee. Associate degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. CPR certification preferred. Work Environment This position is based in Antioch, TN and involves working in a clinical setting. The role may require standing for extended periods and assisting patients with mobility.
