THERAPY AIDE

Aspirus Outpatient Therapy, Wausau, WI Full-Time or .8 FTE, 64 hours every pay period Varied day hours between 6:30am - 6:00pm Monday - Friday Compassion. Accountability. Collaboration. Foresight. The Therapy Aide is a non-licensed worker who has completed the job training and works under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to assist and carry out patient care to pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This is an excellent position for someone currently on the "waitlist" in college pursing a degree in healthcare, with availability to work full-time hours!

Experience/Qualifications:

Completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy). A history of school and work performance that gives evidence of ability to meet the job requirements beneficial.
