Looking to fill a new PRN position for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, for our assisted living facility in Atmore, AL. OTA's licensed in the state of Alabama are welcome to apply. Experience working with older adults in a home health or skilled nursing facility would be beneficial. The patient population consists of high functioning geriatric patients living in an assisted living facility.

No driving between patients, easy documentation system, no set productivity standards, higher level patients, flexible PRN status, with potential to grow into part time or full time hours, 1 on 1 sessions. Treatments primarily include ADL, therapeutic exercise, group activities, balance training, cognitive retraining, and patient education. The ideal candidate would be available to work 1-3 days a week for up to 5-8 hours per day. Responsibilities Assist patients with prescribed therapy POC Document treatment progress and patient responses accurately Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and safety Collaborate regularly with occupational therapists and healthcare team members Ensure compliance with safety protocols Communicate patient needs and concerns effectively Preferred Qualifications Entry-level experience as an occupational therapy assistant Certification from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program State OTA license Professional liability insurance Strong skills in patient care, and retraining of ADL Excellent communication and documentation abilities Knowledge of safety procedures Demonstrated empathy and patient-centered approach
Pay:
$35.00 - $38.00 per hour
