Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Job Description

Job Overview This particular job will consist of school therapy setting. Must have a current Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license/certification (or be eligible for licensure in the state of practice). We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to join our pediatric team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to pediatric patients in outpatient, inpatient, and potential school-based settings. Your primary focus will be assisting patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals through individualized therapy interventions that promote independence and improve quality of life. Duties Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist. Conduct therapy sessions using appropriate therapeutic techniques and activities. Monitor patient progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and therapeutic activities. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license/certification required. Previous experience in outpatient, inpatient, or school-based settings is preferred but not required. Pediatric experience is a plus but not required. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
