Position Summary The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides occupational therapy services to residents under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA assists residents in developing, improving, and maintaining the skills necessary to perform activities of daily living and participate as independently and safely as possible in their daily routines. The COTA works as an important member of the interdisciplinary team and provides compassionate, resident-centered care consistent with Barfield Health Care's commitment to enhancing the lives of those we serve. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Current state licensure or certification as required by the state of employment. Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
