Job Description

Full Time COTA-Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Little Rock, AR About the Role At The Springs of John Barrow, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, working closely with occupational therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence and overall well-being. Join our team and contribute to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities:
Implement occupational therapy interventions, including activities, exercises, and adaptive equipment Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions, as well as participate in group activities and programs Document resident progress, develop and maintain accurate records Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, family members, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and educational programs to stay current with best practices and industry developments
Requirements:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Arkansas Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies or related field Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs and abilities Familiarity with occupational therapy assessment and treatment techniques Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
