Position Requirements Active Arizona Occupational Therapy Assistant license Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to follow treatment plans established by a licensed Occupational Therapist Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is preferred Ability to work a full-time, 40-hour weekly schedule Key Responsibilities Provide school-based occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist Implement treatment plans and interventions developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Support students in developing fine-motor, visual-motor, sensory-processing, self-care, and school-participation skills Provide individual and small-group therapy services Track student progress and maintain accurate service documentation Assist with activities connected to Individualized Education Program goals Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, administrators, therapists, families, and other members of the educational team Recommend and help implement appropriate classroom strategies, adaptive techniques, and therapeutic activities Participate in team meetings and multidisciplinary discussions as requested Follow district policies and all applicable federal, state, and professional requirements Help students develop the skills needed to participate successfully in their educational environment Job Details Full-time school-based position 40 hours per week 2026-2027 school-year contract Preschool through high school opportunities Multiple school districts and locations available throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area In-person services About MAPS Staffing MAPS Staffing is a national provider of educational and healthcare staffing solutions dedicated to connecting talented professionals with meaningful opportunities.
