9670173-85254 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract position supporting elementary students with your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This is a full-time opportunity near Scottsdale, AZ, designed for individuals passionate about helping children thrive in a school setting. Starting as soon as possible, you'll play a vital role through the end of the school year, providing therapeutic support that makes a lasting impact on young learners.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current COTA certification and Arizona state licensure (or eligibility). Recent experience in school-based occupational therapy, ideally with elementary-aged children. Solid understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team. Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills. Positive, adaptable attitude with the motivation to encourage student participation and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy services to elementary students as outlined in their IEPs. Assist the occupational therapist in planning and implementing intervention strategies. Monitor and document student progress, ensuring accurate and timely records. Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and families to facilitate student success in the classroom. Adapt activities to support students fine motor, sensory, and functional skills within the school environment. Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing IEP processes. Perks of the
