Duties Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence in clients' routine.s Implement treatment plans designed by occupational therapists for clients with conditions like autism, childhood developmental delays, or neurological impairment.s Support pediatric occupational therapy sessions focused on childhood developmental delays and neurodevelopmental disorders. Document care activities accurately and maintain detailed care records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals—including physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists—to optimize client care strategies. Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support treatment goals and ensure safe manual handling during therapy activities. Contribute to care plan development by providing feedback on client progress and adjusting interventions as needed.d Skills Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to occupational therapy practices Experience working with individuals with disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or cerebral palsy Skilled in assisting with ADLs and implementing treatment plans tailored to pediatric or geriatric populations Knowledge of medical imaging procedures and how they relate to patient care when applicable Excellent caregiver and client communication skills to foster trust and clarity in therapy sessions Ability to perform manual handling safely while supporting patients during mobility exercises or transfers Prior experience in acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with care documentation standards and compliance requirements in healthcare settings
