POSITION SUMMARY
This position will support San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital's strategic plan and the organization's mission to provide safe, high-quality, personalized healthcare services, while embracing the core values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Commitment. The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) performs services planned, delegated, and is supervised by the Occupational Therapist, assists patients to prevent disability and aims toward the promotion of maximal patient and caregiver participation and responsibility for the recovery program following disease, injury, surgery or loss of a body part. COTA provides care according to Rehab Department policies and procedures and the application of treatment techniques in accordance with discipline specific designated practice act. Provides services to patients under physician's orders. Fosters a constructive and supportive approach to department operations. Understands economic constraints and practices are designed to conserve resources. Performs other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from a school accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) and passed the National Occupational Therapy Exam approved by the Occupational Therapy Examining Committee of the State Board of Medical Quality Assurance required.
Licensure:
Current License from the Occupational Therapy Board of California Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience:
1+ years of clinical experience highly preferred. Must have good interpersonal and organizational skills. Basic Computer Skills.
PAY / BENEFITS
Estimated pay is based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable). Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, optional supplemental life (employee, spouse, and/or child coverage), flexible spending accounts (medical and dependent care), 403b retirement with dollar for dollar match up to 5%, paid time off, and more available depending on employment status.

Occupational Therapy Schedule:
Per Diem, Day Shift, Weekdays, and weekend days as needed; 8am-4:30pm; Pay Rate=$39.65 per hour.
