Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic setting supporting elementary students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a contract role covering a leave through the Christmas Break, with the potential to extend through mid-January. This is an excellent chance to apply your clinical and educational expertise while making a meaningful difference at the elementary school level. Leveraging your COTA background in both healthcare and school environments, you'll collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, and families to provide crucial therapies and support for students' development. Work approximately 30 hours per week, conveniently located near Corona and Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Essential Qualifications:
Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California Demonstrated experience in elementary school and/or healthcare settings Ability to implement IEP-based interventions for children with diverse needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams Genuine enthusiasm for working with young students and contributing to their success Availability to work the full assignment through the end of the leave
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services under guidance of an OT, following individualized plans Support students in building fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills Document session notes and progress accurately in accordance with district protocol Partner with classroom teachers and other staff to support student participation and inclusion Maintain a positive, engaging, and supportive therapeutic environment This assignment offers competitive pay in the range of $45-$54 per hour, rewarding you for your dedication and skill.
