Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join Capistrano Beach Care Center, a 93 bed skilled nursing facility. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver personalized therapy services that enhance patients' independence and quality of life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' recovery journeys across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility settings. Duties Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote patient independence Implement treatment plans designed by occupational therapists, ensuring adherence to prescribed goals and procedures Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals including physicians, physical therapists, and caregivers to optimize patient outcomes Document care activities accurately in care documentation systems while maintaining compliance with medical terminology standards Contribute to care plans by providing observations on patient progress and response to therapy interventions Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program Prior experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to occupational therapy practices Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or in pediatric and geriatric populations Proficiency in medical imaging understanding and familiarity with medical terminology is a plus Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and caregivers effectively Ability to perform manual handling safely while supporting treatment plan implementation Join our team if you are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care through skilled occupational therapy assistance! Pay:
$38.00 - $46.00 per hour
