Oakwood Gardens Care Center COTA Competitive Salary$40-43 an Hour Are you a compassionate and loving COTA who is looking for a change? Look no further! Our Skilled Nursing Rehab facility is looking for YOU! Who are we? Oakwood Gardens Care Center provides quality care and personal comfort to help patients gain increased levels of functional abilities and optimal independence. Who are we looking for? Compassionate and empathetic COTA that are wanting to make a difference. Someone who is a team player. Someone who is reliable and has a "you can count on me" attitude. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Essential Duties Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per OT Board. Treat patients per the physician treatment plan. Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides. Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problem and plans. Participate in in-services training program for other staff in the facility. Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, recertification documentation, per Occupational Therapy Board State Practice Act and governmental and third-party payer requirements. Record treatment changes per policy and procedures. Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services. Participate in discharge planning. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area. Report any problems with department equipment so that it is maintained in good working order. Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff and professional colleagues. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Qualification Education and/or Experience Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant Board of the State. Proficient in computer skills such as inputting data into programs such as Casamba and Point Click Care. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state. Employee must meet continue education requirements per state practices. Must maintain a license in good standing at all time with the state board. We are an equal opportunity employer.
