In this school-based position, you'll play a vital part in helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in both academic and social environments. The assignment is conveniently scheduled for just one day per week, offering flexibility alongside professional experience.
Key Qualifications:
Active California COTA license required Previous experience in a school-based setting or working with PreK-6th grade students preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities Ability to adapt therapy strategies to varied developmental levels Dedication to fostering student independence and success
Responsibilities:
Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Provide direct service to students, helping achieve their educational and functional goals Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each child's unique needs Accurately maintain documentation of student progress and session notes Contribute to team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes as needed Assist in developing and modifying classroom materials to improve student access and participation
