What You'll Need:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous experience in school settings or working with pediatric populations preferred Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families Ability to follow treatment plans as outlined by supervising occupational therapists Commitment to confidentiality and upholding ethical standards Flexibility, reliability, and a passion for helping students thrive
What You'll Do:
Deliver direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist Implement evidence-based treatment plans to enhance students' academic participation and functional skills Track and document student progress, providing feedback to the therapy team Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators and parents regarding student needs Support the creation of adaptive strategies and modifications for classroom activities Contribute positively to a supportive and inclusive learning environment
