This role is ideal for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) passionate about making a difference in pediatric settings. Work alongside educators and therapists to help children reach their fullest potential through tailored therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications:
Active COTA certification required Experience working in pediatric or school-based environments Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and related documentation Ability to collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and parents Strong communication and organizational skills Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for students
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs Implement goals and strategies developed by the supervising occupational therapist Assist with evaluations and provide input to support team-based planning Document progress and maintain accurate session records Participate in team meetings and coordinate with staff and families Adapt materials and activities to accommodate diverse learning and physical needs
Position Details:
Contract role, providing up to 25 hours per week Schedule follows a consistent pattern: 5 hours per day, Monday through Friday Focused on supporting school-aged children with varying needs Imagine yourself empowering students to achieve independence and success in both academic and everyday activities.
