Exciting opportunity available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to contribute your expertise in an educational setting for the upcoming school year. This contract position offers a fulfilling experience supporting students across multiple locations within a diverse K-12 district. The assignment begins mid-September and continues through early June, providing the chance to make a meaningful difference while gaining valuable school-based experience. In this role, youll work as an itinerant COTA, servicing approximately 50 students as you cover a maternity leave through the end of the academic year. Your work will bring you to several sites within the district, supporting students growth, independence, and participation in educational programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid California COTA licensure is required Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred Strong organizational and time management skills for itinerant work Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families Commitment to providing quality, student-centered therapeutic support

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy services according to IEP goals across multiple sites Implement activities and strategies under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate results Travel between district sites as needed to best support student caseload Support students in both group and individual sessions, adapting to varied learning needs As part of this assignment, youll work on-site for 35 hours each week with opportunities for hands-on collaboration and professional growth.
