Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Immerse yourself in a rewarding contract opportunity working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a dynamic elementary school community near Riverside and Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This role is a backfill position covering a leave, with the assignment expected to last through the Christmas break—and potentially into mid-January. With a consistent schedule of 30 hours per week, you'll have the chance to make a lasting, positive impact on young students during their formative years.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desirable Ability to collaborate closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and school staff Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and educators Adaptability and creativity in supporting diverse student needs in an elementary school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision and guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist Support students' development of fine motor, sensory processing, and functional school skills Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students Document progress and communicate updates with the school team Provide group and one-on-one interventions that foster greater participation in school activities In addition to making a direct difference, you'll appreciate a competitive pay range of $45-54 per hour, reflecting your expertise and commitment to student success.
