9534330-92503 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) during the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity, conveniently located near Riverside, CA, allows you to make a meaningful difference in a school environment while developing your skills alongside passionate educators and therapy professionals. The assignment runs from August 3, 2026, through November 20, 2026, with the possibility of extension into winter break. Help students reach their full potential in a Monday-Friday schedule, working from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm each day.
Key Qualifications:
Active COTA certification in California Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred Familiarity with educational OT protocols, IEP processes, and documentation standards Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with teachers, therapists, and support staff Strong communication skills and a caring, student-focused approach
Key Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy interventions to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive skills for academic success Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation throughout the assignment Participate in team meetings to update progress and collaborate on strategies Help create an inclusive, supportive environment for all learners Perks of this
