San Jose Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a supportive school team for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, onsite position will serve elementary-aged students across two locations, with the schedule consisting of three days in Concord and two days in San Jose. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated occupational therapy professional who is passionate about helping students develop essential skills for academic success, independence, and overall development while collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, self-care, and functional skills Implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' educational and therapy goals Maintain accurate documentation, therapy notes, and progress reports Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student success Monitor student progress and communicate observations with the supervising Occupational Therapist Provide services across elementary grade levels as assigned Travel between the Concord and San Jose school locations according to the weekly schedule
Qualifications:
Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required Previous school-based experience preferred Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Passion for supporting student growth, development, and independence
