What You'll DoOccupational Therapist (OT) As an Occupational Therapist, you'll help residents maximize their independence by: Performing comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations. Developing individualized treatment plans based on patient goals. Assessing functional abilities and recommending adaptive equipment when appropriate. Providing interventions to improve strength, coordination, balance, and daily living skills. Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed. Collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams. Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) As a COTA, you'll work under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist by: Implementing individualized treatment plans. Assisting patients with therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living. Reinforcing adaptive techniques and home exercise programs. Monitoring patient progress and communicating updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Accurately documenting treatments and patient outcomes. Encouraging patient participation while promoting independence and safety. Qualifications Occupational Therapist Required Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) License Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Current BLS/CPR Certification Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Required Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current BLS/CPR Certification Preferred for Both Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, or Geriatric experience Strong communication and teamwork skills New graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
