Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), where you will play a vital role in enhancing patient independence and quality of life through expert occupational therapy interventions. This position offers the opportunity to work across diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, school environment. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that promote functional recovery and support clients with a wide range of needs, from pediatrics to adult with disabilities Your dedication will directly impact patients' ability to perform daily activities and achieve their rehabilitation goals in a compassionate, energetic atmosphere. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs Occupational Therapist) Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, aligning with each client's goals and medical conditions. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to foster independence. Support discharge planning by coordinating care transitions and providing education for patients and caregivers. Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and other professionals to ensure holistic patient care. Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, documenting clinical notes, progress reports, and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide specialized interventions for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders and support clients with disabilities across pediatric and adult populations. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist or COTA in accordance with state regulations. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including pediatrics (early intervention, school settings) and adults with disabilities (occupational health, skilled nursing facilities). Proven ability to develop effective care plans and treatment programs tailored to diverse populations. Experience working in various environments such as experience outpatient clinics, behavioral clinic, or school-based programs. Familiarity with occupational therapy assessments and implementing evidence-based interventions for clients with neurodevelopmental or physical rehabilitation needs. Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
