In this vital role, you will work closely with occupational therapists, patients, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality therapy services across various settings. Your expertise will help clients of all ages improve their independence, enhance their daily living skills, and achieve their personal health goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those with neurodevelopmental or disabilities. Duties Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and safety. Implement treatment plans designed by licensed occupational therapists, ensuring therapeutic goals are met effectively. Support pediatric occupational therapy interventions for children with childhood developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder. Provide care documentation by accurately recording patient progress, treatment responses, and care activities in accordance with healthcare standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and modify care plans tailored to each client's needs. Facilitate patient transport within healthcare facilities or home health environments to ensure seamless therapy sessions. Utilize manual handling techniques safely when assisting patients with mobility or transfers while maintaining proper physiology knowledge. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. Proven experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and occupational therapy practices. Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or in geriatrics is highly preferred. Ability to assist with acute care procedures and understand medical imaging reports related to patient care when necessary. Excellent communication skills for caregiver engagement and client interaction across diverse populations. Demonstrated ability to implement treatment plans effectively while adhering to safety protocols in manual handling and patient care activities. Pay:
