Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Pediatric/School-Based Agape Therapy Services LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide pediatric occupational therapy services in school-based settings throughout the Broward County, Florida area . The COTA will work with children from preschool through 5th grade under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services to students according to their established treatment plans and goals. Work under the supervision and direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Assist students with fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-care, and school participation skills. Implement therapeutic activities and interventions appropriate to each student's needs. Collaborate with OTs, teachers, school staff, families, and other professionals as appropriate. Document therapy sessions, student progress, and other required information accurately and on time. Communicate student progress and concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with school and therapy requirements. Create a positive, supportive, and engaging environment for students. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current Florida Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing. NBCOT certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) , as applicable. Pediatric and/or school-based experience preferred. Experience working with preschool and elementary-aged children is a plus. Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, educators, families, and school staff. Dependable, professional, patient, and passionate about working with children. Must meet any applicable background screening and school requirements.
