Set Your Own Schedule — Home Health Occupational Therapist / Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Looking for extra income without committing to another fixed schedule? Strong Step Forward is growing our home health therapy network throughout Southwest Florida and is looking for Florida-licensed Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) who want the flexibility to choose when, where, and how much they work. PRN, 1099
independent contractor opportunity designed to work around your existing job, family, or other commitments. The Flexibility Set your own schedule Accept or decline patients based on your availability Choose the geographic areas you are willing to cover Take a few visits per week or build a larger caseload as available No minimum weekly caseload Ideal for clinicians looking to supplement an existing full-time, part-time, or PRN position Compensation Paid per completed visit: COTA follow-up visits: $55-$60 per visit, based on experience OT evaluations: $90 per visit OT follow-up visits: $75 per visit
OT OASIS
evaluations: $115 per visit This is a per-visit 1099 contractor position. Compensation is not hourly. Service Area Home health patients are located throughout Southwest Florida , including Fort Myers, Cape Coral, North Fort Myers, Estero, Lehigh Acres, Bonita Springs, Naples, and surrounding communities. You choose the areas you are willing to cover. What You'll Do Occupational Therapists Perform home health occupational therapy evaluations and reassessments Develop and update individualized plans of care Complete OASIS assessments when applicable Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions focused on improving safety, independence, and function in the home Address ADLs/IADLs, functional mobility, strength, balance, activity tolerance, home safety, adaptive equipment, and caregiver education as appropriate Coordinate care with COTAs, physicians, nursing, therapy, and other members of the home health team Supervise COTAs as required by applicable regulations and agency policy Complete required documentation accurately and within agency guidelines Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants Provide skilled occupational therapy treatment according to the OT-established plan of care Address ADLs/IADLs, functional mobility, therapeutic exercise/activity, safety, adaptive strategies, and home programs as appropriate Monitor patient response and progress and communicate relevant changes to the supervising OT Educate patients and caregivers to improve safety and independence in the home Complete required visit documentation accurately and within agency guidelines Requirements Current, unrestricted Florida OT or COTA license Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patients' homes Current driver's license and automobile insurance Current professional liability insurance Ability to complete timely required home health documentation Strong communication and independent time-management skills Home health experience is preferred, but qualified clinicians with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply About Strong Step Forward Strong Step Forward is a growing Southwest Florida therapy provider focused on connecting qualified clinicians with home health patients while giving therapists greater control over their schedules and service areas.
